- Starting from August 6, 2021, visitors will be able to access the Pompeii Archaeological Park only after showing the super green pass certification (3 shot vaccination) in compliance with law decree n. 105 of 23 July 2021. The COVID-19 green certification is not required for children under the age of 12, not included by age in the vaccination campaign. The Archaeological Park of Pompeii, in collaboration with the Campania Region - ASL 3 Naples, will activate a station for the administration of rapid antigenic swabs and relative certification. - How many people are in a group?
- The number of participants may vary, but there will be no more than 30 people on each group.
- How long does the tour last?
- The Walking tour of Pompei lasts two hours.
- Where do I find the Meeting Point?
- The Meeting Point with the guides is in Pompei Scavi – Villa dei Misteri Circumvesuviana Station, on the first floor. Pompei Scavi is a small station and there is only one staircase that leads to the meeting point on first floor, so it’s hard to be missed. Otherwise, please ask our info-point on platform 1.
- What will I see on the tour?
- Our WALKING TOUR offers a classic tour also recommended to those who visit Pompeii for the very first time. Our guides will introduce you to the daily life of Pompeii and make your visit the most important finds and monuments.
- Are there any reductions for childs?
- Kids from 7 years old to 14 pay Euro 6,00. Infants from 0-6 are always free on our tours.
- What is a private tour?
- A private tour means you will not join a group but that you will have a guide for yourself or for your family. Therefore you may also customize your tour. We can also arrange tour for large groups upon request. Earphones devices also available for larger groups.
- What if I am late?
- First of all please contact our customer service to check if there is still a chance of taking part of the tour, otherwise as per cancellation policy, a 100% fee will be applied, with no reimbursement. In certain circumstances we may consider, if possible, to book you on a following tour.
- What if weather is bad?
- Before to decide to give up a tour due to bad weather conditions, please contact our customer service. The departure or not of the Walking Tour is at the sole discretion of the Company, according to law and safety reasons, considering the meteorological conditions expected for the duration of the entire tour. If the tour was deemed impracticable, we will refund you the total amount of the tour.
- Are you a professor or a teacher planning on visiting Pompeii?
- No matter how old your students are, our guides will be able to arouse interest into roman history with engaging visits involving them into the explanations. Therefore we offer different types of tours according on students age. We can customize a tour according on students levels and requirements of your school program whether primary, middle, high school or University students. Guided tours are available not only in Pompeii, but also in any other site of interest in our Region, such as Herculaneum, Naples, Mt. Vesuvius, Oplontis, Stabia, Paestum, Amalfi Coast, Capri and Ischia.
- I would like to visit the ruins with my family, the tour is suitable for children?
- Travelling with children can be a challenge sometimes! Therefore we can easily customize the tour in order to make it suitable for your kids. Eruption, volcanoes and gladiators are usually very appealing for kids. Therefore, no worries in visiting Pompeii with your kids: we design our tours to meet the needs of the whole family.
- Can I carrying a luggage/backpacks inside the archaeological site? Is there a deposit?
- To ensure the protection of archaeological sites and the safety of all visitors, from 15 February 2015 are not allowed luggage or backpacks exceeding 30x30x15 cm. Visitors can leave their luggage to cloakroom service for free.
