Consigliatissimo.Grazie di tutto Costanza!!

After getting off an extremely busy Circumvesuvio train from Naples ( next time we would wait for a train which does not stop at every stop), we were handed information about a 2 hour guided walking tour of Pompeii. The meeting point was Pompeii Scavi station and the Tempio travel tour planned to last 2 hours at a cost of 12 euros. We decided to join the tour and we were very pleased with our decision as it maximised our viewing of this extensive site on our limited timetable. Whilst the tour guide was purchasing entrance tickets to the site of Pompeii ( for an additional fee, I think the entrance fee was about another 12 euros each), my friend and I were able to locate the left luggage portacabin so that we could leave our rucksacks there. This was free of charge and we were very grateful for this as it was a very hot day. Our tour guide was very informative and gave us a fascinating insight into life in Pompeii just before the volcanic eruption. The site is large and and has no shade. A hat or umbrella to use as a parasol would be recommended. Take a water bottle with you too as there are none for sale onsite. In a few locations there has been a sympathetic reconstruction of some of the wooden structures to give an impression of what the interior of the buildings would have looked like. I was pleased this had not been excessive, but helpful. The ground was very uneven in many places and this might be a problem for people with mobility problems. I would definitely recommend this guided tour. At the end of the tour we were free to explore the site further.

Amazing experience, as soon as we got off the train, we asked for information at the info-point about the best way to visit the ruins and the Vesuvio , they suggested us a walking tour across the ruins with an English speaking guide and a tour on the Vesuvio by bus through the National park. . They were both amazing experiences because the guide through the ruins was really excellent and has shown us the most important places of Pompei ruins and the bus trip across the National park was wonderful because they used special jeeps and the landscape was beautiful. Perfect organization!! Very good also the lunch we had at the restaurant of the same company. Good price and so comfortable. Thanks, Pompei Tour Organizer You're the best.!!!!

This tour is excellent. So much history and so much to see. Our tour guide advised that many of the artifacts recovered to date have been stored at museums in Naples. Note the ruts in the paving stones and remind yourself that the romans drove there chariots over these stones for 700 years before Mt Vesuvius and the volcano ended their existence in 74 A.D.

Non finiremo mai di ringraziarti per la splendida giornata passata, abbiamo rivissuto la vera storia di Pompei. Arrivederci a presto
